Stylish characterful hotel situated within a short walk to the station and walkable or a short tram ride to the city centre. The bedroom was light & airy with a large comfortable bed & great pillows. A fully tiled en-suite bathroom with an excellent large walk in shower and toiletries. The brasserie doubled up as a breakfast room & a bar in the evening.

Probably the best hotel stay we've ever had (but we did pay considerably more than usual!). Staff were nice. We got the desirable room which was lovely and had the biggest bed I've ever seen. Good range of teas and coffee. Loved having the Marshall Bluetooth speaker. Would definitely come and stay here again. Ideal location for a city break - as central as it gets.

Glorious old building bursting with character. Even a standard room felt huge due to the high ceilings. Mid century, charming furnishings with a lofty modern twist; including two comfy chairs and a table aswell as the standard desk etc. A speaker for music in the room was an awesome touch. ACTUAL MUGS and not paper cups. Beautifully clean throughout. Staff were helpful, friendly and organised a room on a higher floor as per our request (the first time a hotel has actually been able to accommodate this for us in a long time!)

The decor was really nice. The receptionist added late check out for free when we asked (Should have been an additional £10 per hour). The room was super clean.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and very sharply dressed. Check in took all of 2 minutes. I sat in the restaurant in the morning and had a latte and smoked salmon croquette with hollandaise sauce while Oscar, my server, enthusiastically gave me suggestions for how to spend my day. Everything fun was within walking distance of the hotel including the gay district, restaurants, karaoke bars, Chinatown, thrift stores, and artisan shops. And the hotel kindly offered to hold my bags for me as I wandered around the next day! The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and the green tiled bathrooms add such an elegant vibe. Highly recommend staying here and I'll definitely be back.

Loved its quirky and individual character and that it was not your run of the mill accommodation…..location was brilliant, very central for shopping and for travel to the Etihad Stadium where we went for a concert……also the arranged offsite parking was very close to the hotel and discounted for residents of hotel on registering your car on arrival……..would recommend this hotel for a stay in Manchester and would definitely stay there again.

I most enjoyed the big, comfy bed! It was a quiet room, has a great shower, and was tidy. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The location was great, and allowed for a lot of sightseeing. An overall pleasurable experience.
